OpenCode verifies a small read/edit/test tool cycle. The October 11 tests verify text connection only. None establishes image quality, long-context boundaries or sustained stability.
Evidence reviewed October 15, 2026. Test dates remain the original dates. Actual account limits still need to be checked against the Console and gateway.
Free · Itera Hosted. Input, cached input and output are $0 per 1M tokens. Fair-use rate limits apply; no SLA on free capacity.
Assume 10,000 aggregate input tokens and 2,000 billable output tokens across all calls. No cache hit.
10,000 × $0 / 1M + 2,000 × $0 / 1M = $0.000000
If usage actually reports 7,500 of those input tokens as cached, replace that portion at the cached-input rate ($0/1M): $0.000000. Cached tokens are part of total input, never added on top.
Illustrative calculation using the 2026-10-19 catalog snapshot. Include every agent call and retry, repeated history and billable reasoning output; settle against actual usage and current Console prices.
This $0 example still consumes 12,000 tokens of monthly allowance; quota and TPM limits still apply.
Uses the 2026-10-19 catalog snapshot, independently of the live prices above. USD per 1M tokens; an estimate, not a bill.
Estimate includes standard text input, cache reads and text output only. Long-context premiums, service tiers, cache writes, image output and tool fees are excluded.
Input includes cached tokens; output includes billable reasoning. Count every API request, including agent steps and retries.
Estimated monthly cost
—USD / monthQwen3.8-27B
Monthly cost = requests × [input × (1 − cached share) × input rate + input × cached share × cache-read rate + output × output rate] / 1,000,000.
Cached tokens are part of total input, never added on top. Use actual cache-read hits from usage; repeating a prompt does not guarantee a hit. Missing rates are unconfirmed, not $0. Separate cache-write, storage and other additional fees are excluded. Settle against actual usage and current Console prices.
A one-time balance top-up unlocks more Qwen capacity. $10 and $50 are cumulative recharge thresholds, not monthly fees. Qwen3.8-27B stays $0 per token in every tier.
| Tier | Cumulative net recharge | Monthly tokens | Context | TPM |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Free | No recharge required | 30M | 128K | 160,000 |
| Starter | $10 or more | 100M | 128K | 300,000 |
| Pro | $50 or more | 300M | 256K | 600,000 |
Free accounts may queue during busy periods. Recharged accounts receive queue priority; capacity is shared and no latency SLA is offered.
Monthly allowances count input and output, including reasoning, across all API keys on your account. Context includes input and requested output; output is capped at 8,192 tokens. There is no daily quota. Allowances reset on the first of each month at 00:00 UTC (08:00 Beijing time); unused tokens do not roll over. Requests reserve their maximum token usage before running, then settle to actual usage. No automatic paid overage: exhausted monthly quota returns 429; wait for reset or unlock a higher tier.
Tiers use cumulative completed USD recharge principal, less refunds, excluding payment fees and promotional grants. Your recharge remains spendable API balance; using that balance does not lower your tier. Upgrades keep usage already consumed this month. Refunds may change your tier.

This Qwen example disables thinking for a short visible reply. 401/403: check the key and model permission. 429: check monthly usage and TPM in the Console, then honor Retry-After. Free capacity may queue; do not fire repeated parallel retries.
